Haven't been here for a while. As good as ever. FOOD: Good portions. Tasty food. Wish list: Fresh-squeezed juices. Napkins on the table. Water on table. Real chunky salsa fresca (not the blended stuff). Chilaquiles? SERVICE: Excellent. Fast & courteous. AMBIENCE: Very clean; warm & friendly simple red barn style. I'll be back to try some different dishes.
Absolutely divine! The food is so well crafted and delicious! Not to mention the cozy ambience and downhome service makes you feel welcome and of course we go back whenever we can because it's just that good!! Everything on the menu is excellent!
This was my first time here. I asked how was their chorizo. The super friendly server told me it was really good. I asked if they made their own tortillas. Unfortunately, they do not. I got the chorizo scramble with her recommendations of garlic butter hash browns . The meal was delicious. My friend got bacon and eggs with biscuits and gravy. He ate everything! I would definitely recommend coming here. It's known as the best place for breakfast.
Rock solid diner experience, I love going to diners and this place is definitely right up there among the best. Great spot to get breakfast/brunch on way back to Bay Area after camping at Pinnacles NP.

Fast service for a Sunday morning! Waited about 5 mins for a table. Got our drinks right away, followed by our waitress who took our order all within 10 mins. Ordered and our food was out pretty fast. Good service, the waitress was so nice and the food.... Really good (at least my plate). I ordered the potato pile. Full of flavor and a good portion. Asked for their homemade salsa on the side. My husband ordered the Cowboy scramble but his dish wasn't that great. Very bland. Our son ordered the French toast which was decent but he didn't like it at all. Overall a great experience good to ok food.
Best breakfast in California! This unassuming corner spot in Hollister draws me in anytime I'm in the area. You can tell it's a local favorite from the conversations - everyone seems to know each other. Sometimes there's a wait, but it's worth it. Walk around the neighborhood for a bit and enjoy the morning. Service is fast, efficient and hard working. And the food - literally every single item is the best example if it's kind. It blows my mind how everything tastes so fresh and perfectly prepared. And huge portions! I've never left unsatisfied. I wish I had this Country Rose Cafe in my town. I'd be there all the time and would never need to find another place for breakfast or lunch. I can't recommend it highly enough!
